Tara Deshpande - (film-An Encounter with Tara)Actress, theatre personality and writer Tara Deshpande will soon sizzle the silver screen opposite the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in psycho-thriller Encounter: The killings.

Tara, who has written two collections of short stories titled Fifty and Done and A love of any kind seems to have put writing interests on the backburner for a while. Of late she has been busy meeting her acting commitments for Hasan Iztaba’s India Phir Bhi No.1 and Encounter.

Of the two films “Encounter” is ready for release in the May, this year. The film, being directed by Ajay Phansekar, also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dilip Prabhawalkar and Avtar Gill in side roles. It is believed to be a gritty murder mystery with unexpected twists.

Encounter will also serves as the launch pad for four newcomers: Rahul, Mahesh, Sachin and Sushant.

(Bollywood’s Tara marries an American)The pretty Bombay Boys actress Tara Deshpande has quietly married a Jewish- American, collegian Dan Tahnebaum.

Tara, who has just signed a film opposite Pravin Dabas (Of Monsoon Wedding fame), has gone the Madhuri Dixit and Shilpa Shirodkar way by tying the knot across the seven seas.

According to the reports, at present the duo are based in Boston and will soon be making a trip down to India to solemnize their marriage in Indian style.
